ABSTRACT

BackgroundMost of the researches on continuous nursing education is from the perspective of patients, and there is a lack of studies on the impact of continuous nursing education on patient caregivers, and the care quality of caregivers is closely related to postoperative rehabilitation status of the patients. ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of continuous nursing education on anxiety relief of caregivers of patients with all-robot coronary artery bypass surgery, and to provide references for improving caregivers' anxiety and promoting patients' recovery. MethodsA total of 120 caregivers of patients with all-robot coronary artery bypass surgery at the First and Sixth Center of 301 Chinese PLA General Hospital were included from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022. The caregivers were randomly divided into study group and control group with 60 cases in each group by systematic random sampling method. Before the patient discharge from the hospital, all caregivers received routine nursing education. The study group received continuous nursing education for 4 weeks after patient discharged. Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) was used to evaluate the two groups before and one month after discharge. ResultsOne month after discharge, SAS score in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group [(57.77±14.08) vs. (70.19±13.60), t=-4.913, P<0.01], and the proportion of SAS score above 60 in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group (41.67% vs. 75.00%, χ2=-13.714, P<0.01). ConclusionContinuous nursing education may help reduce the level of anxiety in caregivers of patients with all-robot coronary artery bypass surgery.

ABSTRACT

Objective To screen protein disulfide isomerase(PDI)inhibitors from zinc- and selenium-rich green tea and to examine the effect of PDI inhibitors on platelet aggregation. Methods Protein structure file of PDI(PDB ID:4EKZ)was downloaded from protein data bank and the current known 20 compounds in green tea were used to establish a small chemical library. The effects of 6 hit compounds by virtual screening on enzymatic activity of PDI were validated. The antiplatelet activities of the effective compounds tested on PDI enzymatic activi ty were further evaluated. Results 2 of 6 hit compounds by virtual screening ,ECG and EGCG displayed inhibitory effect on enzymatic activity of PDI. In addition ,both compounds showed the potential inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation induced by adenosine diphosphate (ADP) in vitro. Conclusion The effect of blood-activating and stasis-dissolving regulation of green tea is associated with its inhibitory effect on PDI. ECG and EGCG are major active components.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and safety of mecobalamin combined with folic acid in the treatment of dia-betic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)with hyperhomocysteinemia. METHODS:Data of 40 DPN patients with high hyperhomocystein-emia were enrolled into high Hcy group and 30 DPN patients with normal Hcy were enrolled into normal Hcy group. Normal Hcy group was given diet control, hypoglycemic drugs or insulin for controlling glucose and other conventional treatment to make the fasting plasma glucose was lower than 7.0 mmol/L and 2 h postprandial glucose lower than 11.0 mmol/L;based on it,high Hcy group was given Mecobalamin injection 500 μg by intramuscular injection, once a day+Folic acid tablet 5 mg,once a day. 14 d was a treatment course and it lasted 2 courses. Clinical efficacy,Hcy level, the motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV)and sen-sory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) of tibial and peroneal nerve and total symptom scale (TSS) score before and after treat-ment in high Hcy group were observed and compared with normal Hcy group, and the incidence of adverse reactions in high Hcy group was recorded. RESULTS:After treatment, the total effective rate in high Hcy group was 75.0%;Hcy and TSS score in high Hcy group were significantly lower than before and higher than normal Hcy group,MNCV and SNCV of tibial and peroneal nerve were significantly higher than before and lower than normal Hcy group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Th incidence of adverse reactions of high Hcy group was 5.0%. CONCLUSIONS:Based on the conventional treatment,Mecobalamin combined with folic acid has good efficacy in the treatmen of DPN with hyperhomocysteinemia,it can significantly reduce plasma Hcy levels and improve nerve conduction velocity in patients with DPN,with good safety.
